Terms of Service

Welcome to Social Syntonic! By attending events, joining membership programs, purchasing tickets, or participating in our activities, you agree to these Terms.

Our goal is simple: create thoughtful, imaginative, and respectful spaces for dialogue and shared experience.

1. Who We Are

We host in-person and/or online events focused on:

  • Facilitated discussions and arguments across philosophical and political differences
  • Creative social gatherings
  • Experimental food events and game experiences
  • Community imagination projects

Participation is voluntary. You are responsible for choosing what you attend.

2. Shared Values

We assume good faith. We expect the same.

Participants agree to:

  • Engage respectfully, even in disagreement
  • Avoid harassment, threats, or intimidation
  • Refrain from doxxing, recording without permission, or sharing private information
  • Respect the facilitator’s role in guiding discussion
  • Accept that others may hold views you strongly disagree with

We may remove participants who repeatedly disrupt events or violate these expectations.

3. Membership & Tickets

If you purchase tickets or memberships:

  • Prices and benefits will be clearly described at the time of purchase
  • Memberships renew or expire as stated
  • You may cancel future renewals at any time
  • Refund policies will be posted clearly for each event or program

We aim to resolve misunderstandings generously and directly.

4. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Materials we create (cards, guides, event formats, written content) belong to us
  • You may reference and discuss our ideas publicly
  • Please ask before reproducing or redistributing full materials

We welcome collaboration — just reach out.

5. Recording & Media

Unless explicitly announced:

  • Events are not recorded
  • Do not record others without their permission
  • If we plan to record or photograph an event, we will inform participants in advance

You may request not to appear in photos.

6. Health, Safety & Food

For food events:

  • You are responsible for informing us of allergies or dietary restrictions
  • We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate, but cannot guarantee allergen-free environments
  • Participation involves normal risks associated with food preparation and public gatherings

For in-person events:

  • You assume ordinary risks of attending a public gathering

7. Disagreement & Disputes

If something goes wrong:

  1. Reach out directly to us first.
  2. We will respond in good faith.
  3. We prefer conversation over escalation.

Our goal is repair, not punishment.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms occasionally. If changes are substantial, we will notify members.

Continued participation means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Our Commitment

We commit to:

  • Acting in good faith
  • Being transparent about pricing and expectations
  • Protecting participant privacy
  • Facilitating discussions responsibly
  • Admitting mistakes and correcting them when possible

This is a community built on trust.
